Peta Searle OAM appointed as new AFLVM Board Member

During the 2023 AFL Masters Vic Metro AGM, following the resignation of Treasurer Maddison Hardiman, Peta Searle OAM was announced as the new incoming Board Member.

Peta brings to the League a wealth of knowledge and experience, not to mention being the inaugural female AFL Coach in Australia.

Throughout Peta’s career, Peta has held significant roles in Victoria Police, SMJFL, Haileybury and AFLW and AFL roles. This includes education sector experience in Head of Sport, Head of Junior School, Head of Physical Education positions as well as Acting Assistant Principal.

Peta is an innovative leader committed to inclusion, diversity, equity, and growth. Peta’s determination and passion, supports and leads through values and can represent diverse stakeholders through consultation, clear processes, and decisive decision-making.

Peta received an Order of Australia Medal for her achievements in Australian Rules Football. Peta’s greatest joy comes from helping individuals reach their potential and contribute to team success. Additionally, Peta has a deep appreciation for the significant impact that sports have on communities and is committed to using her expertise to positively contribute to future generations.

Peta’s breadth of experience, in conjunction with her qualifications, makes her a valuable leader and member of the AFL Masters Vic Metro Board. Congratulation Peta, we are thrilled to have you on board.
