AFL Masters Women’s QuickKick

AFL Masters Women’s QuickKick is an introductory Australian rules football program designed to teach women over the age of 35 the basic skills of footy (marking, kicking and hand-passing). Since the launch of the AFL Masters QuickKick initiative at the iconic MCG in March of 2022, more than 2,000 women have registered for the program across Australia.

AFLVM can connect clubs to QuickKick resources as well as trained coaches for a safe, friendly and casual approach for women over 35 looking to learn a new sport.

In addition to teaching the basic skills of the game, QuickKick is also valuable for learning the rules of the game, and to introduce new players to contact and non-contact versions of the game. With seed funding provided by a Sport Participation Grand from Sport Australia, the program was free in 2022. Fees are yet to be advised in 2024.
